Sydney the Goose

Sydney the goose had a broken jaw after getting her head caught in a fence. On the digital radiograph the bones were not displaced and it was decided to place a feeding tube and wire the jaw shut for 4 weeks. The goose was fed daily through the tube placed in the esophagus.

Everything healed well and after 4 weeks the wire was removed. During her stay she became bonded to Arianna, one of our top notch veterinary assistants, who enjoyed daily ‘swim’ time with Sydney.
