Never gone

We miss you Yoda, and we always will.

You were a wonderful bird, eating off of Daddy's plate and yelling if we made chapatis and didn't give you one. The apartment is too quiet without your constant chatter- either muttering to yourself, saying "Yo-duh" or "Good boiiiiii". You always squawked a hello when we came into the apartment. You were more than a pet to me, you were a companion, a son- a "fid"- feathered kid.

I know towards the end you were in pain. I know those last few hours must have been miserable for you, yet you held on until I came home from work. You didn't want to be alone, and it gives me great comfort that I was able to hold you and pet you before you went. You were so young, I wish we had more time together. I would give anything to bring you back, but I know that I will see you again, one day. You were the best bird anyone could ever ask for, and I will forever miss you.
