Our dear friends, Mary and Thurman Worthington, lost their precious cat, Coopurr, last year. Since then their house has been so quiet without a fur friend. Recently they decided to take a trip to Best Friends out in Kanab, Utah, and spend some quality time with the kitties there, helping out with area cleaning and laundry while getting to know the feline population. Now, it shouldnt surprise anyone that instead of bringing home a souvenir tee shirt they came back to Virginia Beach with the very handsome Alexander!
Being quite a few years past the age of kittenhood, Alexander knew immediately that the Worthingtons were exactly who he had been patiently waiting on to welcome him into their home. And, as soon as he snuggled into Marys arms, both of the Worthingtons knew they were flying home with a new buddy.
Best Friends thought this adoption story just might change the minds of folks who only look at young critters when interested in adopting.
